南寧廣西工商職業技術學院

廣西工商職業技術學院是一所國家公辦全日制普通高等學校，辦學類型層次為高職專科。學校地處廣西壯族自治區首府南寧市，隸屬于由自治區發展改革委員會管理的自治區糧食和物資儲備局。學校辦學起源于1953年6月創辦的廣西省糧食干部訓練班，經歷了廣西省糧食干部學校、廣西糧食學校、廣西貿易經濟學校等干部教育、中職教育發展階段，歷經撤并、復校、更名等發展過程。學校另一辦學基礎是1978年9月成立的廣西黎塘糧食技工學校，該校1978年12月更名為廣西糧食技工學校，1994年3月更名為廣西經濟貿易技工學校。2004年6月，經廣西壯族自治區人民政府批準，在將廣西經濟貿易技工學校并入廣西貿易經濟學校的基礎上，設立廣西工貿職業技術學院。2006年3月，廣西工貿職業技術學院更名為廣西工商職業技術學院。

學校有鵬飛、中堯、新村、武鳴4個校區，占地面積1600多畝。其中，鵬飛校區（校本部）位于南寧市西鄉塘區鵬飛路15號，中堯校區位于南寧市西鄉塘區中堯路15號，新村校區位于南寧市西鄉塘區新村路8號，武鳴校區位于南寧市武鳴區紅嶺大道588號。學校目前設有會計學院、管理學院、經貿學院、財金學院、信息與設計學院、糧油康旅學院、馬克思主義學院、通識教育學院、繼續教育學院等9個二級學院，開辦有大數據與會計、工商企業管理、市場營銷、電子商務、廣告藝術設計、糧食儲運與質量安全、食品檢驗檢測技術等30多個專業，現有全日制在校生20000余人。學校擁有一支由廣西教學名師、卓越學者和自治區優秀教師、自治區優秀教育工作者等拔尖人才領銜的優秀教師隊伍，高級職稱專技人員占教職工總數25%，研究生以上學歷占60%以上，是全國糧食行指委副主任委員單位、全國糧食行指委糧油購銷與物流專業委員會主任委員單位、全國商貿職業教育集團常務理事單位。

About Us

Guangxi Technology and Business Vocational College(GBC) is a state-run full-time higher vocational education institution. Located in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi, the college is affiliated to the Food and Strategic Reserves Administration of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a functional department under the Development and Reform Commission of the Autonomous Region. Originating from the Guangxi Training Class for Grain Cadres which was established in June 1953, the college evolved from Guangxi School for Grain Cadres, Guangxi School of Grains, Guangxi School of Trade and Economics and other stages of development in cadre education and secondary vocational education in the forms of revocation, merger, re-establishment, renaming and so on. Guangxi Litang Technical School of Grains, another predecessor of the college founded in September 1978, was renamed Guangxi Technical School of Grains in December 1978, and Guangxi Technical School of Economics and Trade in March 1994. In June 2004, Guangxi School of Trade and Economics was merged into Guangxi Technical School of Economics and Trade under the approval of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, thus forming Guangxi Vocational College of Technology and Trade. In March 2006, Guangxi Vocational College of Technology and Trade was renamed Guangxi Technology and Business Vocational College(GBC).

Covering an area of more than 1,600 mu, the college has four campuses, namely Pengfei, Zhongyao, Xincun and Wuming. Among them, the Pengfei Campus (the main campus) is located at No. 15 Pengfei Road, Xixiangtang District, Nanning City; the Zhongyao Campus is located at No. 15 Zhongyao Road, Xixiangtang District, Nanning City; the Xincun Campus is located at No. 8 Xincun Road, Xixiangtang District, Nanning City; and the Wuming Campus is located at No. 588 Hongling Avenue, Wuming District, Nanning City. At present, the college consists of 9 schools, namely School of Accounting, School of Management, School of Economics and Trade, School of Finance, School of Information and Design, School of Grain, Oil, Health and Tourism, School of Marxism, School of General Education, and School of Continuing Education, and offers more than 30 programmes, including Big Data and Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, E-commerce, Advertising Art and Design, Grain Storage and Quality Safety, Food Inspection and Testing Technology, etc. There are over 20,000 full-time students in college. The college boasts a team of excellent teachers led by top talents like Guangxi famous teachers, outstanding scholars, and excellent teachers and teaching staff of the autonomous region. The number of senior technical personnel with advanced professional titles accounts for 25% of the total number of teaching and administrative staff, and the number of personnel with master’s degree and above accounts for 60% of the total number of teaching and administrative staff. The college is known as a vice chairman unit of the National Steering Committee for the Grain Vocational Education and Teaching, the chairman unit of the Grain and Oil Marketing and Logistics Professional Committee of the National Steering Committee for the Grain Vocational Education and Teaching, and the executive director unit of the National Trade and Business Vocational Education Group.

Since its establishment, the college has always upheld the Party’s leadership, implemented the Party's policies on education resolutely, adhered to the original mission of cultivating talent for the Party and the country, and carried out the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating people. After 70 years of reform and development, we’ve made considerable progress in talent training and other undertakings, and greatly contributed to the economic and social development of Guangxi, especially the development of food and strategic reserves. We’ve been fully recognized by the higher authorities and widely praised by people from all walks of life, and won lots of prestigious titles such as the Outstanding Contribution Unit in National Skill Talent Cultivation, the Advanced Unit of Vocational and Technical Education in Guangxi, the Civilized Unit of the Autonomous Region, the Advanced Grass-roots Party Organization among Guangxi Higher Education Institutions, the Safe and Civilized Campus among Guangxi Higher Education Institutions, the Outstanding Health College in the Autonomous Region, and the Garden-like Unit in Nanning City. Besides, we’ve been designated as the National and Guangxi Base for Grain Safety Education and Promotion, the Pilot College for Modern Apprenticeship System of the Ministry of Education, the Experimental College in the Vocational College and University Digital Campus Construction Program of the National Center for Educational Technology, and Continuing Educational Base for Professional and Technical Personnel of the Autonomous Region. Moreover, a number of advanced collectives have emerged from the college, such as China's 100 Outstanding Young Volunteer Service Collective and Advanced Collective of Ideological and Political Theory Teaching among Guangxi Universities and Colleges. We’ve passed the project establishment acceptance of the high-level professional group construction in Guangxi, and been successively awarded the Advanced Collective for Employment and Entrepreneurship of Graduates of General Institutes of Higher Education in the Autonomous Region for 14 times.

In the new era, the college’s Party committee has fully implemented Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, always adhered to the principle of providing satisfactory education for the people, taken a firm stand on educational development following the overall situation of reform and development, maintained strategic determination, and developed itself based on the industry characteristics. The college has upheld the school motto of "Cultivating Skilled Technicians and Sagacious Businessmen and Fostering Illustrious Virtues and Moral Values" and featured itself as a higher vocational and technical college dedicated to "the cultivation of food and business talents" so as to boost the mutual development of food and business, perfect the food industry and energize the business industry. With the construction of a high-level grain, oil and food professional group as the leading force, the college strengthens the simultaneous development of the grain, oil and food sector and business administration sector. We drive the construction of a cluster system of six new industry and business programmes, namely smart accounting, art design, marketing e-commerce, financial management, information intelligence and health and tourism services, showcasing our running feature of “cultivating food and business talents” gradually and improving our level of education steadily.
